Her Team, His Team

Standard

Once upon a time, a Pennsylvania girl married a Kansas boy . . . and now they’re living happily ever after in Georgia. But they still need their own aprons!

  • You’ve seen my girly apron before . . . here, here, here, and here. (The last link has info about the original pattern and tutorial.)
  • I found the manly barbecue apron tutorial here at The Purl Bee. It was super easy and fun to make, too. ♥

  1. Is it the Pittsburgh Steelers? I once went on a college exchange many years ago to New Wilmingotn. I was at Westminster College in England and we did a swap with your Westminster College. I had a great time and we had a visit to Pittsburgh and the university. I remember having a meal high up on the side of the river overlooking the city!

  2. Brilliant!
In Ireland, the big sport is Gaelic football, each county has a team and their supporters are very faithful. My mother and father come from different, rival, counties, something like this would be a great gift idea for them! 🙂

    • It WOULD! If I make a team apron and can’t find actual team fabric, I use fabrics in the team colors and then snip a logo from a team t-shirt to add to the bib or a pocket. Actually, team t-shirts (which you can often find at a bargain price) usually have SEVERAL bits you can use to applique onto something else . . . then you can use the rest of the t-shirt fabric for another project. I hope you’ll get a chance to give it a go! 🙂

  3. Oh I know a few ladies in my husband’s family that would love love love that apron with Steelers prints. What a great idea for my next gift-giving occasion.
