pillow

As I mentioned in my first post, in my “real” life I’m a wife, mom, grandma, elementary teacher, and education writer.

Thanks to my talented web-designing son Aaron, my schools and books are chronicled in an online portfolio at Edwriter.com, but you’ll get to read about my wonderful family and friends right here on Pillows A-La-Mode.

And, speaking of pillows . . . here’s one of my favorites!Β  Click here to read about this “lucky save.” πŸ™‚

Thank you for visiting!

Your bloggy friend, Katherine

  2. Thanks for signing up. I’m wondering if I could ask you a favor– I am completing an extensive study guide to accompany my book– http://www.lisakwinkler.com. I’m looking for educators to give it another reading to see if there’s more I should add before I begin marketing it. Also, I’m wondering if you have contacts in the educational book publishing industry. We could communicate via email- lisakwinkler@gmail.com
Hope to hear from you! Impressive that you maintain two blogs!

    • Thank you! I first thought of making things to sell, but after *one* craft show I decided that’s not for me. Luckily we have a BIG family, so I get to make lots of fun things. πŸ™‚ Your blog is lovely, too . . . I’ll enjoy following it! πŸ™‚

  28. Hi Katherine, I know you have a million awards, but I’ve totally nominated you for the Inspirational Blog Award for several reasons. I love your blog, I love your colors and I love your ideas. Honestly though, I also love how generous you are with your likes πŸ™‚ It’s so encouraging to have someone as talented as you notice anything that I create, so thank you! And of course, here are the details. http://letsspace-lift.com/2013/03/02/circle-of-inspiration/

    • People are always asking me if I’m so-and-so . . . so I think I must look like a LOT of people! πŸ™‚ The funniest one was a woman at the grocery store who asked me if I was (name) and when I said “No,” she said, “Oh, yes . . . I remember now . . . she ran off with a podiatrist!” πŸ™‚

      • Thank you. I have been a very lucky lady having a hubby that goes to so many places and when he can (and we have saved the money) takes me with. Living in Europe has really blessed us because before, when we lived in South Africa it was too expensive and often way too far to travel conveniently. Take care. Michele

  34. Hi Katherine,
I hope you don’t mind me writing to you in your comment section. I couldn’t find another way to contact you. I have a huge favor to ask of you. Last week, BurdaStyle asked me to teach a live Web Seminar on March 31 for them. I’m pretty excited about the whole thing. I was hoping you would help me get the word out and post a little something about it on your blog inviting your readers to participate. Here is the link to the course description and registration. http://register.burdastyle.com/Course?CourseId=9000-51
And here is the link to my post about the seminar

If you’d like to do this for me, I’d be forever grateful. I’d also like to thank you by putting a 200×200 button to your blog in my sidebar.

    Thanks so much!
