As you know, I’ve been exploring projects I can make with those beautiful placemats from World Market. The latest idea came from the queen of crafts herself, Martha Stewart. Although I generally view her projects with considerable trepidation, I love this one ! Here’s the link, and here’s the result! ♥

I love that!! And how perfect for kids (and adults!!) to travel with…the fabric is so pretty!
That’s pretty nifty!
Thank you, Danielle and Susan! 🙂
Cute! Tyler and Ryan like them too!
Thank you, Jen! Maybe Tyler and Ryan think their mom needs one to carry in her purse for emergencies. 🙂

Oh these look fantastic, such a great idea!
They’re wonderful to give as gifts! You can also make them for crochet hooks or turn the placemat the long way and use them for knitting needles. Or for make-up brushes . . . probably other things, too. 🙂

I can’t count how many of these I have made and it’s never been from a placemat! Quick way to make a great gift!
It is! It takes about 1/2 hour max. Plus, placemat fabrics are SO pretty, and you can usually find random ones on sale in clearance bins of department stores (or my favorite places to scout them out . . . World Market or Bed, Bath, and Beyond). I love it!!! 🙂
