My pile of giftable pillows was getting quite tall, so I was really happy to discover an opportunity to donate a dozen or so to a fundraiser craft show that’s coming up in August! I hope their new owners love them as much I as I loved making them! Then, silly me, I spotted a remnant in my stash that I knew would look pretty with our loveseat and the plant beside it and just had to take a few minutes to stitch up a new one. No a-la-mode needed this time . . . but it provides a nice splash of scenery and is cushy enough for a nap. And about that tomato . . . well, it’s the first (and maybe only!) one this summer. It’s tiny but mighty, having overcome a hail storm, high winds, and the ongoing Kansas drought to appear and redden on our plants. You’ve got to admire that kind of persistence! P.S. I’ll bet it makes the best mini-BLT ever! ♥

I love the pillow, and that is an awesome tomato !!
Thank you! 🙂 It is cute, isn’t it??? (The tomato, that is!) 🙂
We had mini BLT’s on skewers for appetizers last week (along with cold tomato soup in shot glasses!!). I think your little tomato would just fit!
What a great idea!!! I’ll try it! 🙂
I love the tomato – I got 4 from my tomato plants last year during the hot dry season just to the south of you. This year, I didn’t even try but the farmer’s markets are pretty much sold out by 10AM because there’s so little produce.
I love that pillow! The colors are so vivid and pretty!
Thank you! 🙂 So far I haven’t eaten the tomato! It’s just too cute. But I’m sure I’ll break down soon! 🙂 And the pillow fabric had been buried in my stash for awhile, so it was a fun find! 🙂
Ha, you’re funny ‘mini-BLT’s’ how scrumptious. That teeny tomatoe looks really important, all alone on that plate. I like how you made that picture look like a polaroid!
My sister (in a comment above yours) said they had BLTs on a stick for appetizers, including mini-tomatoes! How cool is that! 🙂 And I have Picmonkey.com to thank for my new, improved photos the last couple of months. It’s super-easy to figure out, even for a non-photographer like me. I hadn’t seen the Polaroid option until today, but I like it, too! 🙂
Pretty cushion and a tomato- still waiting for ours in the UK to ripen- if it were me I’d enjoy it “neat”- I don’t think there is anything to beat a fresh picked and still warm tomato! Enjoy!
I agree!!! But so far I’m just enjoying looking at it on the counter . . . silly, I know! 🙂
I love your tomato vignette. It is gorgeous.
Thank you, Liz! I decided it deserved a bit of flair! 🙂
Yay for tomatoes! They’re the best part of summer.
I agree! 🙂 I’ve been enjoying reading about yours . . . I love your set-up! We may have to get a little more sophisticated with ours, too! 🙂
Very pretty pillow!! I love the color! Hugz Blondie
Thank you! It was a lovely surprise to discover this forgotten fabric in my stash! 🙂
Aw! Such a cute itty-bitty tomato!
And such a huge, comfy, squishy pillow – love the fabric choice!
As always, wonderful ideas.
Thank you! I finally ate the tomato for lunch today instead of just admiring it . . . it was DELICIOUS!!! 🙂
love the fabric for the pillow!!
Thank you! I was SO glad to rediscover it in my stash! 🙂
