Flower Pillows

Standard

I’ve missed making pillows, so after church and lunch out with Dave on Sunday I spent a happy afternoon at my sewing machine. And, since my creative blogging friends suggested using some of my road trip flowers as pillow adornment, I did just that . . . adding in one sweater flower as well. All of the fabrics are remnants or upcycled curtains, and all of the pillows are 14 x 14 inches. I can’t wait to start giving them to my family and friends! โ™ฅ

  1. The flowers are a-DORABLE and look great on your pretty pillows. I’ll be saving my peanut butter lid and cutting colorful circles soon!

    • Thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚ They just make me smile when I look at them! Plus I have some for pins, some for my granddaughters’ hair, one on my needle book . . . SO many ways to use them! ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I wish I’d found this blog back when I was cleaning out my mom’s things after she passed away. She had so many scraps of material from all the clothes she made for us growing up, it was a shame to give them all away. If I’d been into quilting, they would have been perfect, but I’m afraid I’m not the sewer my mom was. Now, the flowers I probably could do without too much trouble, but now all the scrap material is gone!

    • I did the same thing, so when I recently started sewing again I thought of all the things I should have held on to. But then I figured that someone else probably got a lot of joy out of them, and now I’m creating my own scraps. ๐Ÿ™‚ Maybe you can check your closets for an old T-shirt or pillowcase or something you don’t wear or use anymore and try a flower or two with that. I’m sure it would be really cute! ๐Ÿ™‚
