I was rummaging for a frame yesterday and found my long-lost fork easel! I didn’t make it . . . I bought it at a craft show. But I think I could make one now that I know A Ponytail Kind of Day! She has a post here about her fork easels. Plus, if you go to her Category Cloud and click on “silverplate,” you’ll see knives, forks, and spoons made into candleholders, bracelets, necklace pendants, money clips, vases, key chains, and napkin rings! I’ll try it if you will! β₯
P.S. Click here for a tutorial for a rock and wire photo display option . . . another fun upcycle! P.P.S. And now I just discovered this AMAZING silverware starburst mirror! You must check it out! P. P. P. S UPDATE: Spoon rings now on A Ponytail Kind of Day! π
I really like them…I just want to see more of the fork…Maybe I’ll just put a smaller frame on it…Lovely!
Good idea! They’re perfect for displaying cards, too. I just couldn’t resist using my newest photo! π
You know…I was just making a comment…I loved the photo too!…
And I appreciate it! You inspired me to add another photo that shows off the fork handle, too! Thanks, Marilyn! π
That’s great! Now, i have something to do with the old folks I’d like to get rid of..
I can’t wait to try it! And, like Marilyn said, you can put something smaller on it to show off the pretty fork handle. π
I’m really, really excited! i have a small painting I’m going to put on mine:) Hey, thanks for sharing:)

Whoa – how cool is that!!!!
I love it! I want to try making one now! π
Me too!
Wow! That’s pretty darn cool!
I hope you’ll make one . . . or two or three! π
Really good idea. I like it a lot.
I was given earrings made of forks (excluding the handle!) a few years ago & they really are my favourites.
Wow! I would LOVE to see those! Maybe you can write a post about them sometime??? π
Great idea, love the photo too!
Thank you, Colormusing! π
Anyone else remember spoon rings??
I’d forgotten about those! Maybe A Ponytail Kind of Day will make one of those next! π
So cute! What a great idea! π Definitely going to check out the sunburst mirror!
Thank you! And you’ll love that mirror! π
Thanks for mentioning me π Funny, I just mentioned you today also, lol. Thanks for the wreath idea, I do love it. I just looked at the starburst mirror and I have everything to make it, This is on my list of “to do’s”, I have to finish decorating the house and yards for fall, then back to projects.
You’re very welcome! I just love your projects and love to share them, too. The wreath is lovely, and I can’t wait to see your starburst mirror! Oh, and another blogger mentioned spoon rings . . . would you like to try that, too? In all your spare time? π
I have actually made some, but I usually give everything away. I will make some, I just bought a new mandrel.
Yay! We’ll be watching for them! π
What a clever way to use those orphaned pieces of silverware.
I agree! And we all have them, don’t we? π
What fun! I saw you at the Re Missionary, and your projects look so fun, and maybe even easy enough for me to do! Looking forward to digging in!
Thank you! I’ll look forward to popping by your blog as well! π
These would be cute with a piece of old silverware, maybe one with a monogram…mmmmm, new idea. Thanks Katherine! Hey is that you’re new grandbaby and Mr Pillow?
I can’t wait to see what you make! And yes . . . newest grandbaby and her daddy . . . two sweeties! π
“…Now, i have something to do with the old folks Iβd like to get rid of…” sorry…I’m not poking fun – that just made me laugh when I read it! Now to go look for some old folks – er, forks – to get rid of. I gave away all my old silverware, but it’s worth it to get some more, just to try this!
My typing is like that sometimes, too! π But have fun making easels! I can see the headline now: Lubby Girl Empties City’s Thrift Stores of Forks! π
yeah – hey . . . I like that headline! Oh! I feel a blog post coming on!!!
What a sweet photo….she sure loves her papa! β€
Yes, she does . . . and her mama! π xoxoxo
This is a great idea; thanks for sharing it. I have a small photo of my family when we first moved into our home. It is hanging on my kitchen wall now, but I need to make this fork easel to display it…perfect! Enjoy your day! ~~~Vickie Horsfall;
Yay! That sounds perfect for the kitchen! It would be a nice way to display your pretty cards, too! π
Very nice idea. It is cute and you are recycling as well.
I’m happy to share ideas like this! Thank you! π
What a clever way to display photos….gotta try this…..
Yay! Have fun with it! π
