I agree! I’ve started sending out one of my little crafts with a handwritten note for friends’ birthdays instead of buying a card (a mini-notebook, fabric flower, or something like that). Surprises are always fun! 🙂

Usually one of the blogs I follow just announces a give-away and asks readers to comment on the post and then they choose by drawing a number. But it’s fun for both the giver and the receiver! 🙂 I think I might do one for my one-year blogiversary in September! 🙂
