I’ve gifted my first set of mini-notebooks one by one, so it was time to make more. If you haven’t tried this craft yet, you must give it a go! Why?
- They’re quick and easy, and it’s so much fun to mix and match scrapbook papers for the covers, spines, and labels.
- A notebook costs less than $1 to make and less than $2 to mail, so by adding a handwritten message on the first page, it makes the perfect economical yet pretty and useful greeting card/gift combination.
You can find a complete tutorial here. I can’t wait to start giving these away, too! ♥
You know I love your mini-notebooks!!
Thank you, Kelly! It was so much fun to get out my scrapbook paper again . . . it’s just so pretty!!! 🙂
Those are so cute!!!
Thank you, Lisa! And I think I can smell that yummy chicken soup cooking from here! 🙂
I absolutely LOVE these! One of the classrooms in which I’ve worked, we made binder covers for the special needs students and turned them into scrapbooks. They’re fun to do, too! 🙂
What a wonderful idea! Thank you! 🙂
I will have to remember these come teacher appreciation week too! Between these and all the other cute ideas I have been discovering, I may never buy another pre-made present again! Thanks for the cute ideas 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 And I feel the same way! I never dreamed that starting to blog would allow me to meet so many wonderful crafters from all over the world willing to share their creative ideas! I LOVE it! 🙂
🙂 I had no idea either! I love this blogging world!!!
THESE are GREATTTTT, as tony the tiger might say.. you are so crafty I love it…
Thank you, Nici! I’m glad to have a new stash of them for gifting! 🙂
They really would make great gifts, hmmmm now you got me in the thinking slash craft mood… only if all my stuff weren’t in storage, I need to move so I can get working on some of these 🙂
Brilliant! Have you thought of using a scor-buddy to score the folds of the notebook cover?
Hmm . . . I don’t know what that is! Something scrapbookers use? ?)
It’s a 12 X 12 inch board with grooves every 1/4 inch and a flat plastic tool to push the paper into the groove and score it. It saves a lot of time because you don’t need to measure and mark the lines with a ruler first.
OK, I’ve got to get one of those! THANK YOU for the wonderful tip! 🙂
Don’t know why, but can’t see you’re photos of your mini books 😦 seems like they were a hit.
Hmm . . . I’m not sure why! Maybe when you refresh or restart WordPress they’ll show up??? The mysteries of the internet!
I’m thinking Christmas gifts too…they are lovely…~mkg
Ooohhh . . . I LOVE that idea! And it gives me a perfect excuse to go look at holiday scrapbook paper! 🙂
Aren’t these great? I have been making them ever since I saw the first tutorial. Great mini gifts and a wonderful way to see beautiful paper other than in an album
You’ve been my biggest “mini-notebook cheerleader”! So thank you for that! And I’m so glad that you’re enjoying making them and your friends and family are enjoying getting them! 🙂 Oh, yes, and I DO love scrapbook paper!!! 🙂
Love these. Dollar Store here I come!
I know! I’ve bought the notebooks for 49 cents or less there! 🙂
I really like these… I had been wanting to cover some note books with fabric…
I’d like to try fabric, too! But for now, I’m enjoying dabbling with scrapbook paper since it’s SO pretty and I don’t scrapbook! 🙂
I’m not a scrap-booker either… Love all the pretty papers out there right now. So many to choose from.
Love these!
Thank you! I had a fun evening making them . . . while watching HGTV! 🙂
This would be a great stocking stuffer, love them !!
Thank you, Ponytail! I agree!!! 🙂
I need to try this! Wanted to let know I nominated you for three awards.
