This puzzle box kit I purchased and put together YEARS ago may look *vaguely* familiar . . . if so, it’s because it just received the same makeover as the children’s step stool we painted and decoupaged last week! Now all the wooden puzzles are ready for our littlest visitors in style! β₯

Love this! If I recall you are using chalkboard scrapbook paper, but I can totally see this using chalkboard paint and let the kids draw all over it themselves, too.
Wow . . . that’s a great idea! I even have a little jar of chalkboard paint . . . wish I’d thought of it! π
Such a cute idea! You know, your puzzle box reminds me of something a friend of mine made when we were teaching. She built it to hold construction paper. You know how messy it gets in the “teacher’s closet.” π
Oh, yes, I do know! Everything is SO organized when you set up your room in August . . . then it goes downhill from there! π Every organizational tool possible is welcome in those fun closets!
Looks very cute and up to date. The kids will love it!
Thank you, Ginny! I can’t believe I left it so plain for so long! But it’s all better now. π
Very nice! I have never seen a puzzle box before, it looks very handy for storage!
I found it in a toy catalog a long time ago, but I don’t remember which one! And it IS handy . . . and keeps us from losing those puzzle pieces! π
So cute…and perfect for organization!
Thank you! I just love this little thing. And now I love how it looks, too! π
super nice box and easy to use!! π
thanks for sharing this.
In my blog I’m doing a “questions and answers” post! You are invited to participate of it!! π

looks good!
Thank you, Marilyn! π
What a makeover! That kit does the job, and a great one. The Puzzle Box looks wonderful.Be Blessed, Mtetar
Thank you! It’s fun to have in the *toy* section of our house for all our little visitors! π
You’re always welcome! Mtetar
Clever! I have the same wooden ABC puzzle stashed in my house for future little visitors . . .
Fun!!! Since I hadn’t saved the ones from when my sons were little, I collected a few new ones for grandchildren ( . . . plus a couple I had in my first-grade classroom, like a map of the U.S.) π
Great idea!
Thank you! I’m having fun with paint and paper these days! π
It looks great!
Thank you, Wendy! Now I want to paint and decoupage everything in the house! π
I need to do this for all our little puzzles! So fun!!
This box definitely makes it easier to keep track of all the pieces! π
Really love this, wish my little nephew could come round … an ocean between us
I do, too!!!
very smart!
π
very pretty Katherine! it’s a very nice makeover you did! π
Thank you, Ingrid! π
I remember such an organizer when I was in kindergarten! Funny the things one has stashed in their brains!!!!! Nice redo!!! Hugs……..
Me, too! Does that mean that this invention has been around a L-O-N-G time?????? π
I don’t think I like the direction this has taken!!!! LOL!!!!

The children will love this. I find children play with things more if they are in some type of order. Admittedly they quick to make it disorderly but they still do enjoy an orderly play area. Your puzzle box will delight them!
I totally agree with your organization theory! (And about how quickly it gets undone!) π But right now everything is in its own basket, shelf, or spot . . . so let the play begin!
I need to find a way to make one of these holders. It’s so cute and we have so many wooden puzzles!!!
I wish I could remember where I found this kit! But you’re so creative I know you’ll think of a way to make something from scratch! π
