Even though I named my blog for pillows, I haven’t made many lately, have I? But here is my latest cushiony creation concocted from scraps of last year’s Halloween pillows, a fun black and white remnant for the back, and some of my grandma’s mismatched black buttons. I knew I wanted to do a chevron design, and I found a perfect tutorial from Nicole at Modern Handcraft. Thank you, Nicole . . . and have a fun Halloween, everyone! ♥ P.S. The other one is a sweater pillow from my earliest blogging days . . . it’s the softest, coziest cushion in my house, and I love getting it out when autumn arrives!

So cute, that chevron one is great!!!
Thank you! I’m not a quilter, so it was a bit of a challenge . . . but a fun challenge! 🙂
I love, love, love the sweater pillow. I just started knitting again…haven’t done it since I was a child. I may work up to a pot holder or a pillow some day!! Right now I’m making a long black “thing” …post to follow:)
I can’t wait to see it!!! I truly wish I could say that I knitted this, but I made it from an old sweater poncho. I just love how the buttons go with it! I remember playing with these buttons at my grandma’s when I was little, so they’re extra special! 🙂
I really like the sweater cushion, it looks lovely and cozy for Autumn.
Thank you! I just love its softness and color. I’ll have it out all autumn . . . and then again for “winter after Christmas.” 🙂
Very festive!
Thank you! I think my favorite colors are getting brighter the older I get! 🙂
Yay! These look fantastic, Katherine! So bright and cheery. (Makes me want to snuggle in them, too.)
Thank you, Lauren! That sweater cushion really is snuggly! 🙂
Your pillows are fantastic!! Hugz Lisa and Bear
Thank you, Lisa! 🙂

Thank you, Robyn! Those fabrics are definitely bright! 🙂
very pretty Katherine! 🙂 the chevron one looks beautiful and perfect for Fall 🙂
Thank you so much! They were both fun to make. 🙂
Great pillows! I’ve got to find some time to make some!
The chevron one was one of my first tries at piecing. Luckily the step-by-step directions were perfect! But it really made me appreciate all you quilters even more than I already do! 🙂
That was one of your first tries at piecing? No one would ever have known! 🙂
Great post, I love the new cushions and I had fun looking at the older ones too!!!
When I link back to an old post I almost always have to go touch up the photo first. I wasn’t using PicMonkey back then . . . but then no one read the posts, either! 🙂 You’re a sweetie! 🙂
I really love that sweater pillow!
Thank you, Anny! That has to be my favorite pillow in the house. I do put it away in summer, but I’m always happy to get it out again! 🙂
Very cute!
Thank you, Gemma! 🙂
I like those pillows and I don’t think you will just use them for Hallowe’en, they would be nice bright additions to your home for anytime!
Thank you, Sarah! I’ll definitely be leaving the sweater pillow out all winter . . . so cozy! 🙂

Thank you, Erin! That’s so sweet! 🙂
Beautiful, I love the colors !! 🙂
Thank you, Izabel! I seem to be getting more and more little pops of orange in my house! (Especially for fall!) 🙂
I love orange it is a beautiful color.
The colors are so vibrant, they caught my eye right away. Great job 🙂
Thank you! It was fun finding that “treat” fabric last year . . . and having just enough left for a project this year, too! 🙂
Oh, so cool!
Thank you, Brejniak! 🙂
Oh both pillows are brilliant! I love the chevron for the pop and the sweater is just too cute! Man, I wish I was crafty in that way. I have some ugly pillows that really, really, need to be updated… maybe I will someday. 😀
Thank you! That’s so sweet. I wish you lived in my neighborhood and I’d make you all the pillows you want! 🙂
Your pillows are beautiful. I especially love the sweater one!
Thank you! That’s definitely my all-time favorite, Ginny! 🙂
