I really love cardigans. I have
quite a few way too many! While we were packing for our recent trip, I was folding my turquoise cardigan to put in my suitcase, and I saw this pull on the back. I have no idea how or when it appeared, but I was bummed. However, by the time we got home, I knew just how to fix it! Lucky for me, the pull was perfectly centered, so I handstitched a bit of crocheted cotton lace over it and added three “sister” (but not triplet) blue buttons into the lace designs. Now my cardigan is way cuter than it was before . . . so this Eeek!!! turned out JUST right! ♥

Perfect fix; love it! From a fellow cardigan lover.
Yay for cardigans! I just can’t get enough of them . . . so I’m glad I’m not the only one! 🙂
Very cute!
Thank you, Christina! 🙂
Katherine, your updated/upcycled Cardigan is as New as when you first bought it. Very nice. Blessings, Mtetar
Thank you, Mtetar! 🙂
That is lucky! To have the snag perfectly centered like that. 🙂
I know . . . I couldn’t believe it! I’d still like to know how I got the snag in the first place, though! 🙂
What a clever way to cover an ‘oops’!! Good job.
Thank you! It’s fun when things work out this smoothly . . . that’s not always the case! 🙂
What, there is such a thing as too many cardigans? 🙂 Nice save. My winter wardrove consists of t-shirt or blouse and a cardigan. Every single day. I love cardigans.
Mine, too! And spring and fall, too. And summer for places with freezing air-conditioning. Mmmm . . . cardigans . . . 🙂
I guess I should have mentioned the other seasons too. I’m always cold (especially at work), so cardigans are just an everyday accessory. 🙂
Great idea! I’m sure you have a thread puller and tried that first. Loved the final result of the fix.
I can tell you’ve had experience with such snags! 🙂 With the tight weave of this sweater, I finally decided that a coverup was the only solution . . . and luckily it could be a pretty coverup! 🙂
Very clever!
Thank you, Elizabeth! 🙂
Great fix 🙂
Thank you, Jill! 🙂

BRAVA – excellent solution to an otherwise “donatable” situation.
What a neat idea! And to think, I would have had to put my cardigan in the GoodWill bin. Saved!
Nancy
Thank you, Nancy! I almost did a “What can you make with a . . .” makeover with it, but I’m glad I could save it instead! 🙂
