Craft Camp!

Standard

CollageOur granddaughters Ally and Kira requested an overnighter before going back to school last week, so we decided to call it “Craft Camp.” We sewed pillowcase nightgowns and made painted fabric pillows. Ally made a mini-pillow with embroidery, and Kira made a button headband. We also enjoyed our usual play-dough, Bendaroos, Tinker toys, and fingerprint art projects, played outside, read books, cooked, and had lunch with the girls’ great-grandparents. I think we may have started a new tradition! ♥

    • They are beautiful and talented young ladies. Craft camp! What a fabulous concept. It is so important to have this instruction at a young age. How lucky they are to have you an of course you to have them! Thanks for posting, I love looking at things young people are making.

    • Thank you, Judy! I’ve been wanting to try a “pillowcase” nightgown for a long time and it was just as easy and fun as I’d hoped. It was so sweet when they first tried them on . . . they BOTH said, “Oh! I look so beautiful!” Awwwww . . . 🙂

  1. I’m sure this will be a new tradition every year from now on!! You’ll have time to look for new ideas for next year. They did a great job…..and your a great gradma!! “Hugs”

  2. What a wonderful Grandma you are to share your crafty talents with your little granddaughters. It looks like they had a great time and thanks for sharing them with us. 🙂

  3. I’ve always done the Rent-A-Kid thing when we wanted to spend time with kids (after ours grew up and got tired of play time with Mom & Dad), so now it looks like I’ll have to start a Rent-A-Grandkid phase. Too bad my kids never got married and gave me some grandkids. But hey! I have friends with kids!! 🙂 Your granddaughters are lovely girls.

  4. I have to admit I so admire the wonderful experiences you are having with your granddaughters and that you are sharing them with your blogging audience/friends. what special memories you are creating. ~Thea
