Yes, after wishing I could win my own Origami Owl giveaway last month, I received one for Mother’s Day from Tiffany, Jeff, Miranda, and Brody! It has a chocolate locket with crystals, an “Inspire” plate, a gold chain, and a crystal dangle. Inside the locket were four charms that Tiffany decided were “so Kathy” . . . a cross, heart, Grandma heart, and laptop. How sweet is that??? And then I got to choose five more charms! It was SO hard to decide, but I finally picked out a sewing machine (no surprise there!), purse (to represent outings and adventures), coffee cup (since I always have one an arms-length away during my work day), piano (since I used to teach lessons and perform), and running shoe (but mine is pink . . . and I’m running my first-ever 5K this fall!). THANK YOU, dear family, for the lovely gift . . . I’ll cherish it forever. And be sure to check out Tiffany’s Origami Owl shop if you’re looking for a one-of-a-kind gift for someone you love. ♥

How cute! I love that they chose a laptop for you….
I do love that one, Lauren! And between my writing job and blogging, it’s very fitting! 🙂
How cute are those charms. Love the sewing machine and the laptop. Good luck with the run.
I really love those two charms, too! And thank you for the “good luck” . . . I’m just now starting to train so it seems a little daunting right now! 🙂
What an awesome gift!!!!! You must have been tickled pink:)
I WAS! I think I even squealed with delight! 🙂
how cute is that laptop???
Isn’t it??? I just love them all! 🙂
So YOU!!! (Change that to a walking shoe and it could be me, too!!!!! We have tons in common!!!!) Congrats!!!
We DO!!! And I love walking, too! Just trying out this running thing (at least once!) to see if I like it! 🙂
I have found that, for me, the walking ‘thing’ is more agreeable to the ‘bod’….less jarring and less impact! I have never been a jogger but “power walking” has provided much enjoyment. Hugs…….
They will make nice gifts especially as a surprise. Be Blessed, My
Thank you! 🙂
You’re welcome, Katherine! Be Blessed, Mtetar
Clicked enter mistakenly too soon. Meant Be Blessed, Mtetar
🙂
Love it! So cute and so many wonderful little details!!!
I agree! They’re so tiny . . . but both realistic and artistic! 🙂
Simply adorable! Love your new locket! And, I can’t believe you are running a 5K! Wish I could do that! Good luck and can’t wait to hear how that goes for you!
Thank you! And I can’t believe it, either! Honestly, signing up was a whim. But I’m having fun adding running to my walking, and hopefully I’ll be able to run (MOST of the way!) it by mid September! 🙂
Oh my, I could never do that! I used to be a sprinter in track back in High School, but now my asthma sometimes gets the best of me and I couldn’t run now for nuthin’!
A sprinter? Wow! I never could run very fast. My sport was basketball . . . but I tried shooting a free throw recently and fell W-A-Y short. Oops!!! 🙂
I guess we all lose our talents when we get older, eh?
But gain new and even better ones! 🙂
I hear ya on that one! Could you imagine if we knew about Pinterest & blogs back when we were in school? It could have been dangerous!
What a lovely, charming gift! Best wishes on your 5K run. 🙂
Thank you, Victoria! 🙂
I’ve never even seen a laptop charm before – it’s adorable! The whole locket seems like such a wonderful gift. What a thoughtful family!
Thank you! And yes, my family is so sweet to me! I feel blessed EVERY day. 🙂
Gorgeous and soooo thoughtful!
Thank you! It IS such a thoughtful gift! And a wonderful conversation piece, too! 🙂
I love teeny tiny things. What a great gift.
I do, too! They’re so whimsical! 🙂
These Lockets are the best. My BF and I got one for his mother for mother’s day, and she couldn’t stop saying thank you. She was in love with it. I know you were very excited to get that. Congrats!
I LOVE that story! I know EXACTLY how she feels! Yay for you and your boyfriend!!! 🙂

Thank you, Ingrid! That little sewing machine IS adorable! 🙂 And I’m pretty excited about *learning* to run . . . I’m sure it will be a fun day! 🙂
I love it!!! Katherine I did not know that you are a runner, there’s lots of runners on WordPress, I hope you win!!!! 🙂
Well, I’m a very, very beginning runner!!! I just thought I’d try a 5K to see what it’s like . . . and my only goal is to finish! 🙂 Thanks for the good wishes, Patricia! 🙂
Good for you!!!! Yes you have lots of good wishes going your way, yay!!!
I can see why you made those choices Kathryn !
perform piano .. sounds ha like we should hear more about that one .
Is your 5K a charity run I wonder ?? I did one a few years ago but think it’s power walking for me now . Good luck with your training 🙂
Thank you! I may stick to power walking after this one, too . . . but it’ll be fun to give it a go! 🙂
