When I was digging through my treasure box and found these pretty rocks that some sweet kiddos gave me, I immediately thought of a super-creative craft I’d bookmarked on What Katie Made. Thank you, Katie, for such an easy-to-follow tutorial! Now I have treasures holding treasures. ♥

We totally have to do this! We both love rocks and have lots of pics. GREAT idea!
You’ll have so much fun! I did get the 20-gauge wire she suggested and it’s just right . . . not too flimsy yet not too hard to bend. Can’t wait to see what you make! 🙂
This I could do!…clever~mkg
Thank you! It only takes about five minutes each. Have fun! 🙂
Very clever idea, I have some pebbles that would be perfect for this!
I love that they can be any size, too! Have fun with them! 🙂
Reblogged this on A Ponytail Kind of Day and commented:
So cute, I had to share
I just love this idea !! I had to re-post 🙂
Thank you, Ponytail! These will be perfect for your country home! 🙂
What a great idea! I am pinning this!
Thank you! And I just visited your blog . . . love it! 🙂
thanks! I noticed your ‘likes’ 🙂
So cute! I just checked out Katie’s blog too. Thanks for the recommendation 🙂 This is a perfect idea for the rocks my kids give me as ‘presents.’ Thank you!

You’re very welcome! Have fun! 🙂
What gauge of wire did you use for your project? They’d make an interesting paperweight.
I used 20 gauge. It works perfectly–strong enough to hold the photos but easy enough to bend. Have fun with yours! 🙂
What a fantastic idea!
Thank you, Hannah! It was so quick and easy too! 🙂
way, way cool – and it looks like a fun project, too.
Thank you! And it was lots of fun! I think they will make great gifts, too. 🙂
They look great. Fabulous project.
Regards Florence x
Thank you, Florence! 🙂
This is an incredibly gorgeous idea. I can imagine this in my office at work…coupled with a photo of my kids in nature/bush setting. Just lovely.
What a wonderful idea . . . especially if your children hand-pick the rocks! 🙂 I can’t wait to see your creations! Enjoy! 🙂
What a great idea. Unpretty rocks (ok, ugly) can be painted to match decor or just crazy.
Good idea, Liz!!! 🙂
Simple, yet inspiring. I like these. 🙂
Thank you! I hope you’ll get a chance to make some!
oh I really like these…
Thank you! Maybe you and your son can make some together! 🙂

I’ve seen these before, they’re so cute!! Would be so cute (and time consuming! Lol) to make for a wedding to hold the name cards!
That’s a great idea! And they really don’t take long to make. 🙂
I’m just thinking about having to make over 100 of them! lol but I bet it’s even therapeutic! I’m definitely making these for the house though. I actually just took some pics that would look so cute in these. Thanks for posting!!
I love this idea. This week the I had my two grand children pick out 4 rocks each they liked from around my home that I wanted to use for them to make Christmas gifts out of when the weather chilled too much to be outside. I wasn’t sure if I would have them paint them as paper weights or what. Now I know what I will have them make. I can print off a few pictures their parents and Aunt and Uncle haven’t seen and have them gift those as gifts. Thank you!!
What a marvelous idea! This comment makes me SO happy!!! Have fun! And I can’t wait to see what the kids make! 🙂
Fav idea! My list is getting longer and longer and longer…
Mine, too!!! So many creative ideas (and people!) out there! 🙂
