Class Reunion Garland

Standard

In my spare moments this week, I’ve been standing at the kitchen island turning the scrapbook paper circles I cut out on our recent road trip into garland for my class reunion this weekend. The first string I made was plain blue and gold, but I decided to have fun with this one and add some designs. Oh, and I also found some pretty blue and gold fabrics for the tables. It seems like only yesterday that we were wearing these colors for our high school activities! But I love “now” WAY more, don’t you? β™₯

    • Thank you! πŸ™‚ I think they’ll be a festive touch. And it’s ALWAYS fun to find an excuse to go to the scrapbook paper aisle at Michaels (since I don’t scrapbook). πŸ™‚

        • You do!!! West Redding, Connecticut is the home of The Institute of Children’s Literature and I went there for training when I became an instructor several years ago. It’s such a beautiful part of the country! πŸ™‚

          • The first time my brother came to visit here, he went home and told his grandchildren that we live in a jungle! With all the green trees and California is so brown all summer long, its a shock for them to see so much green.
I live in the southeast corner, a couple of miles from the Long Island Sound. Connecticut has been home for two/thirds of my life now, I like it here.

    • Thank you! I just got home from the reunion. We had so much fun! And the garland was a big hit! Now everyone wants to start meeting every year instead of every ten years, so I’ll be getting lots of use from it! πŸ™‚
